I am trying to rip Walt Disney's Pinocchio 70th Anniversary Edition DVD using MakeMKV 1.10.2. To be honest I took it brand new out of the plastic. ![]() Saving 1 titles into directory D:/Media/Shared/Videos/MediaRip/_NotRenamed/PNP0NNW1Įrror 'Scsi error - MEDIUM ERROR:L-EC UNCORRECTABLE ERROR' occurred while reading '/VIDEO_TS/VTS_01_1.VOB' at offset '4356096'Įrror 'OS error - STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR' occurred while reading '\Device\CdRom0' at offset '4356096'įailed to save title 0 to file D:/Media/Shared/Videos/MediaRip/_NotRenamed/PNP0NNW1/title00.mkv I have been gleefully ripping other movies and other Disney movies for months. No matter who tries to read the book, no one will be able to read those pages. Think of it as spilling a bucket of paint on the pages of a book. When you look at the disk holder, do you see what looks like suction cup marks on it? (may have to hold it at an angle to the light to see them) If so, the holder has some residue from the packaging process on it, and that can migrate to the disks in shipping. The L-EC error usually means there are physical errors on the disc, and any drive you use is going to have the same trouble. Personally, I've had a LOT of "perfectly clean" disks that needed to be cleaned this past year. Almost all of them were in packaging that had suction cup marks on the holders, and a hazy look to them at certain angles. Many worked without errors, or errors that corrected themselves after some retries, but I've been cleaning more "perfectly clean" disks than ones the family scratched up. Of course, I don't let them TOUCH the actual disks anymore (media servers are wonderful!), but that's beside the point. That's why the standard advice around here is to clean the disk with a damp, soft cloth (cotton or microfiber preferred) when you see "uncorrectable read" errors.Ĭode: Select all DEBUG: Code 3221225628 at 0*u53V?r+$wd$Pq.I used MakeMKV since serval years, great tool and support Spinning optical media read by a laser is better than spinning plastic media read by running a needle over a groove cut in it, but not by much. I've upgraded from 1.10.1 to 1.10.2, all works well, AACS 6.2 is now supported. Let’s firstly see what MakeMKV officials recommend you to do for fixing MakeMKV failed to open disc issue. I used "Semi-Auto" for the Output Folder all the time and it works. But I have the need change the Output Folder name due to performance and storage reasons for one disc to an other folder.
